Sunkoshi River Rafting

ITINERARY:
DAY 01: KATHMANDU – DOLALGHAT DRIVE RAFTING.
Morning at 7 am meet in Ktm. office - store baggage and finalise plans a quick breakfast then we drive to Dolalghat the put-in-point of Sun Kosi. The drive is beautiful. In clear weather you will have a magnificent view of the Himalayan Ranges . Upon arrival at Dolalghat we unload the gear - lunch will be served and a full safety briefing will be given by your expedition leader. The first and second days are easy paddling. The big one you will encounter today is a class 4+ rapid "Rotten Cave". We will choose our beach campsite, where dinner will be served amidst the splendor of the star-filled sky. Overnight at camping.

DAY 02: RAFTING.
Have breakfast pack up the gear and start rolling down the river. Today you will encounter a big class 4+rapid " Meat grinder". It is fairly straight run down the center avoiding holes left and right. A few meters below here the Tamba Kosi river joins the Sun Kosi on the left with a beach on the confluence. There is another beautiful Shiva temple overlooking the two rivers. Overnight at camping.

DAY 03: RAFTING.
Today a few kms below the confluence of the Likhu Khola is a short, class 3+ rapid Pre-Anxiety soon followed by a long class 4 rapid High Anxiety ½ with a large hole on the left halfway down and a series of holes at the bottom. Float a while. Overnight at camping.

DAY 04: RAFTING.
This day starts with several class 3+ rapids then a quick stop for buying food and maybe beer. Then prepare for a big and interesting one �Harkapur 2 and 3 the hardest rapid on the river which should be carefully scouted. Overnight at camping.

DAY 05: RAFTING.
Some kms below Harkapur, Dudh Kosi river joins the Sun Kosi from the left. Below here the river widens into an arid area of gravel. You meet some small rapids an will teach you into another aptly named rapid 'Jaws'. Camp 

DAY 06: RAFTING.
Today is a hard day as you will be encounter most of the grade 4+ rapids - you are straight into good exciting rapid "Rhino Rock" which is a grade 4+ followed by "Jungle Corridor" a kilometer of continuous white water. Waterfalls cascade on both sides of the river. One waterfall makes a great spot for a team shower. Overnight at camping.

DAY 07: RAFTING.
Last few days are mainly wave trains if you are interested you can try kayaking where our experts will teach you the basic skills needed to maneuver the boats or learn the Eskimo roll. Overnight at camping.

DAY 08: RAFTING TO CHATTRA AND DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU.
The last stretch of river which brings you to the last class 4+ Big Dipper is a series of huge standing waves. A few kilometer later Big Arun and Tamur rivers joins together to form the Sapta Kosi. Then you float along on the powerful current , the hills dramatically give way to totally flat Terai and the northern plains of India. This is the end of a classic and memorable river journey. We will finish our trip around 2 pm pack the gear and then drive back to Kathmandu around 4 pm from Chattra. This takes around 13/14 hours .

QUOTATION FOR TOUR/TREKKING:
Please kindly send us e-mail for quotation. Our standard quotation includes 3 stars category hotel accommodation in Kathmandu / Pokhara before and after trekking. There is optional of 3 different standard hotels (Deluxe, Standard and Budget). We highly appreciate following information when you inquiry quotation and information of tour/trekking with us: approx. date for tour (Date of arrival and departure from Kathmandu), total days you are available for tour/trekking, character of tour/trekking you are interested, number of pax in group, etc. These are very important information in order to send you information more appropriate.

We are reception and service provider agency in destination. We suggest you trekking / tours in private group because it uncomfortable to travel with people you do not know each other, it easier to organize tailor-made itinerary as per your interest, you can start your journey as per date you are available for holiday, etc. We organize trekking/tours in private group and fixed departure group, if clients preferred to travel / trek in group.

We organize tour / trekking even there is only one pax in group. So far, our tour / trekking are guaranteed departure for minimum 1 pax in group.

Our outline trekking packages include sightseeing in Kathmandu and hotel accommodation in Kathmandu. It is possible to contract only trekking part without services in Kathmandu.

It is not commitment that you have to book tours, trekking, expedition or any other service with Buddha Treks Group. There are not any service charges for inquiries.

This is general inquiry. When you accept terms and condition of Buddha Treks Group, it means you accept to send inquires to Buddha Treks Group and you agree to receive information of tours, trekking and other services provided by Buddha Treks Group.

Please kindly inform us, if you are inquiring information or quotation for promotion or business propose. Please inform us, if you are travel agency, tour leader or other organization to propose for group. 

You are permitted to send as many inquiries to finalize tailor-made itinerary as per your desired holiday (date, route, type services, standard of accommodation, etc). In case of fixed itinerary, you have to be convinced as per groups plan.

You will be bounded terms and condition of cancelation charges, amendment charges once you make final decision to book services with Buddha Treks Group.

- We will procedure for necessary booking of services required for your trip.
- We will send you information of availabilities of services.
- We will request you for booking deposit and send you our bank account detail for wire transfer. We will request you to send us bank receipt when you make wire transfer.
- We will send you final confirmation of tour.

BOOKING DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
We kindly request with all our client to make payment 25% total bill as booking deposit at the time of booking made. Once you decided to book the trip with us, we will give you our bank account. The balance invoice of your booking to be paid on your arrival at Kathmandu. You can pay us cash, visa or mastercard. There is not any surcharge to pay in cash or traveler cheque but there is 4% surcharge to pay by visa or mastercard.

AMENDMENTS / TRANSFERS OF BOOKING:
AMENDMENTS: If you wish to make amendments to your tour arrangements, you must notify Buddha Treks Group in writing. Each amendment to your tour arrangements will incur administration fee (20 Euros per person) and any increase in operational expenses or penalties (date change charges of flight ticket, visa or permit amendment charges), etc.

TRANSFERS: If you wish to transfer from one tour to another, you must notify Buddha Treks Group in writing. Once Buddha Treks Group receive and acknowledges your notice the transfer will take effect subject to the following.

- There has to be plenty of time for rearrangement.
- Client has to agree to pay any cancelation charges occurred on previous booking, rearrange charges, tariff differences.

Buddha Treks Group reserves right to cancel booking in case of boarder closure, any unavoidable circumstances (General strike, any politic problem, cancelation of flight schedules, landslide, blockade of highway, etc). In such case tour can be transfer without charges of rearrange charges. It is chargeable tariff differences and any expenses occurred on previous tour arrangement.

CANCELATION OF BOOKED TOUR:

If client has decided to cancel tour with Buddha Treks Group (tour booked, booking deposit has made), client will be charges as follow.

- 5% of total invoice will be charges, if cancelation is made between 30 days – 45 days before tour starts.
- 15% of total invoice will be charges, if cancelation is made between 15 days – 30 days before tour starts.
- 25% of total invoice will be charges, if cancelation is made between 7 days – 15 days before tour starts.
- 50% of total invoice will be charges, if cancelation is made between 2 days – 7 days before tour starts.
- 100% of invoice will be charges, if cancelation is made, if someone does not report on time for tour.
- 100% of invoice will be charges, if client does not want to consume the services contracted and paid, when tour starts.

- Travel Agency is bounded by Airlines Company to issue booked flight ticket (domestic or international) on time. There are certain Airlines Company has restriction of nonrefundable, non re-routable, etc. Buddha Treks Group reserves rights to charge such expenses with clients directly as per Airlines Company’s policy. Accordingly, condition applied issued trekking permit, climbing permit, permit and visa for Tibet and Bhutan.
